Hail the Pre-Order

I was recently introduced to the music of Hail the Sun. It’s fun, it’s fast, it shreds. That’s really all you need to know.

Because I’m old and grumpy and like for the things that I own to have physical form, I pre-ordered their upcoming full-length, Wake, on CD.

And then, only a couple of days later, I received this email:

To some small degree, I’ve worked on albums before. Delays and disasters are inevitable. It’s nice that they notified me about the delay ahead of time – really, it’s all that I’d ask that they do.

So when I read that third paragraph, the one that says, “the band will be giving you a personal call on the phone,” I was not only surprised, I was awestruck. Because that is awesome. What a great freaking idea! I’ll be sure to share the contents of that call when it comes.

Hail the Sun, I hardly know ye. But you are the best.
